List of postal codes of post offices for Brazil

The Brazil postal code list is a very detailed database with data on the postal codes of Correios do Brasil (Brazilian Post Office). The database provides the zip code Brazil data as follows:

• ZIP or Postal Code in alphabetical order (address A to Z)

Brazil Zip Code Format in Brazil

The Brazilian Zip Code have the following format:

#####-### , for example, 05713-570

On the Zip Code Brasil dataset, we will show postal codes under the following format:

########, for example, 05713570

The Brazil Postal Code Format is the same for all states and regions and each Brazilian ZIP Code number has a meaning. From left to right, the numbers indicate the region, sub-region, sector, sub-sector, sub-sector divider and distribution identifiers (last three digits). Brazil is divided into ten postal regions, which make up the first of the ZIP code numbers:

• Region 0 - Greater São Paulo;
• Region 1 - Interior of São Paulo;
• Region 2 - Rio de Janeiro and Espírito Santo;
• Region 3 - Minas Gerais;
• Region 4 - Bahia and Sergipe;
• Region 5 - Pernambuco, Alagoas, Paraíba and Rio Grande do Norte;
• Region 6 - Ceará, Piauí, Maranhão, Pará, Amazonas, Acre, Amapá and Roraima;
• Region 7 - Federal District, Goiás, Tocantins, Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul and Rondônia;
• Region 8 - Paraná and Santa Catarina;
• Region 9 - Rio Grande do Sul.

In the case of ZIP Code 05713-570, for example, we can see that the code refers to a Greater São Paulo, since the first digit of the same begins with the number 0. If we analyze each of the other digits according to the criteria established, we will conclude that the ZIP Code refers to the city of Sao Paulo. The last three digits of the code refer to the individual identification of localities, places, special codes and postal units.
