The Faroe Islands, also known as Faeroe islands or as Danish Faroe islands, are present in the North of the Atlantic Ocean between Iceland and the Shetland Islands. It is known as the democratic land of the kingdom of Denmark. There are almost 17 inhabited islands and several islets and reefs.
