The head of state was Ali Ben Bongo and consisted of two legislative councils.

Gabon is a country that is present in central Africa. It is present along the Atlantic Ocean and south to the Bight of Biafra. The country of Gabon has approximately 3261 km of international boundaries.

It shares borders with Equatorial Guinea that 335 km, with Cameroon that is 396 km, and with the Republic of Congo that is 2567 km to the east and south. The territorial sea is about 22 km, the contiguous zone is 44 km, and the exclusive economic zone is 370 km.

Climate of Gabon
Gabon usually has a moist, hot, and tropical climate during most of the year. The hottest month is January, and while the average or moderate temperature of about 20 to 28 degrees Celsius is experienced in July. From June to September, there is no rain and more humidity. However, there is a small amount of occasional rain during December and January.

People and culture of Gabon
Most of the people who live or reside in Gabon are Christians and speak Bantu languages. The Bantu languages are further classified into 10 linguistic groups. More than four-fifth of Gabon's population is urban, and about half of the population lives in the capital of Gabon, Libreville. Football is the national and most played sport in the country of Gabon. In some parts, basketball is also played quite often. The art and other publishment of media and newspapers are printed and shared in French. Gabon is also a famous site for the international radio network. Due to this, many people often work in the printing and publishing sites present in the country of Gabon.
